Preparing for a Merger

A medium sized firm in the service industry was the subject of acquisition by a major player with a strong brand image.

The MD decided to make Training and Development a key factor in helping the integration of the two organisations prior to the merger. POD consultants held a series of focus groups, interviews and took customer feedback.

We were then in a position to launch an intensive series of management development workshops within which management styles from both companies were explored and a common language and agreed management strategies were developed for the new organisation.

The workshops were lively and productive and helped management teams from both organisations to understand each other much better.
