Assertiveness – Relationships and Reputations

Assertive people not only achieve their aims confidently but also attain ‘win–win’ outcomes by exploring the opinions of others and building cooperation within a team. They are the ones who can seize the moment and are not afraid of courageous conversations. Those attending this one–day workshop will develop their communication effectiveness and personal confidence through group activity and individual feedback.

Duration

1 day workshop followed by 2 x 1:1 coaching sessions.

 

Course Objectives

At the end of the programme participants will be better able to:

  • understand the relationship between assertiveness and effective communication at work;
  • recognise different behaviour extremes and how to adapt to these assertively;
  • communicate assertively when making their case face to face and over the telephone;
  • give and receive constructive feedback – to improve their own and others’ performance;
  • understand the importance of self–management in being able to feel more confident and communicate effectively.
